It picks up the smallest details of the cup Fri May 04, 5: In a few years time the stuff may turn into liquid goo, not sure. I would probably shoot for making a simpler more durable doll more along the lines of the Candy Eighteen type. It's really new so it's not on the Burman Industries site yet, but you can order it directly from BJB.
I might email BJB and ask them that question. The fumes are horrendous however. The SC would bond to the foam whereas silicone does not. The Flabbercast would be used more for the flesh under the skin, but you would still need a skeleton and a foam core as the Flabbercast would be too soft and heavy for the whole doll. It picks up the smallest details of the cup The Flabbercast stuff is interesting, but I'm not sure how long it would last. I would like to see how the SC would work as a skin over a soft 3 lb density urethane foam as opposed to silicone. In a few years time the stuff may turn into liquid goo, not sure. It stretches with the foam and has a nice soft matte finish which looks nice and skin like. Fri May 04, 5: The SC product is a coating and would be used mainly as a skin. The ultimate would be to skin the mold like in the video, but it could also be sponge applied on the foam in thin coats afterwards just like paint. I would probably shoot for making a simpler more durable doll more along the lines of the Candy Eighteen type. I used Plasti-Dip to seal the foam for Sammie's mod. Silicone is simply too expensive, too tricky to work with and too prone to damage if the doll isn't designed properly. I have used the Smooth-On urethane foam and it actually molds quite nicely. After peeling it off, it seems to leave a permanent stain on the foam. All it would need is a good skin coating. I could see casting this stuff into the boobs before closing the mold and casting the foam to get jiggly boobs as long as it would stay put in the mold while turning it. Are you wanting to use it to fill a silicone doll? From the product data, it looks like the SC is much stronger and stretchier than the Plasti-Dip and being water based, would be much less nasty to work with. Wed Jan 04, 9: I would probably use platinum silicone for the mold though to avoid having to use a lot of mold release. Here is a little video showing the Plasti-Dip on the foam test casting
